Pick Your Path –Ninja

“I’ll climb up the wall, kill Echi, and take the statue”, you think to yourself. Positioning yourself in the shadows, you take out your grappling hook and toss it at the roof. With the hook safely in place, you rapidly scale the wall until you reach Echi’s window. You hear what sound like snores, and as you peer through a crack in the window, you see Echi’s figure. A weasely middle-aged man in a tacky kimono, he appears to be asleep next to a lit lantern - and the stolen statue is right next to him! You quietly open the window, unsheathe your sword, and creep toward the statue. Echi suddenly sits up and pulls out a flintlock pistol from his kimono!

“Hahahaha! Foolish ninja….I knew you were coming,” he sneers in his nasal voice.

“You acted too rashly – I saw you in the light of the lantern. Ninjas like you should stay in the shadows where you belong! Hahahahaha!”

You raise your sword to slay him, but you’re too late….the last thing you hear is the sound of the bullet firing, and Echi laughing.
