Pick Your Path –Ninja

“Sneaking into the house will be harder, but I can’t risk being seen by climbing the wall”, you think to yourself as you slink toward the house.

Staying in the shadows as your Uncle commanded, you make your way to an open window, and scurry in. The house is pitch black, but years of training in ninjitsu have given you to the ability to see well in the dark. As quietly as possible, you move through the house and up the stair case. At the end of the hall, you see a tired-looking guard in front of a door

“Surely that must be Echi’s room!” you think to yourself.

You wait until the guard closes his eyes to yawn – then you flick a dart tipped with sleeping potion toward him. It land squarely in the middle of the guard’s forehead, and he hits the floor snoring. You hear a noise from the room, and the door opens to reveal a weasely little middle-aged man in a tacky kimono – Echi himself

“Who’s there?” he loudly whispers in a nasal voice, but before he can notice the sleeping guard on the floor, you let another sleeping-potion tipped dart fly toward Echi. Like the guard, the dart hits Echi square in the forehead, and he slumps to the ground, snoring loudly.

2 direct hits! You tiptoe past the sleeping men and find the stolen statue in the middle of Echi’s room. You slip it into your bag and head out the window.

It’s almost morning when you reach the Buddhist temple – and the head monk has been waiting for you

“Your uncle told us to expect you”, croaks the aged monk as you hand him the statue.

“You have risked your life to do the right thing…and I will make sure you and all your fellow ninja are properly rewarded”.

“You have brought great honor to your clan, young one!”
