“I shall deliver the message to Lord Tsugu, Uncle” you reply.
“Fine then”, Takahashi says as he passes you a folded piece of paper. “But you must leave at once!”
You rapidly change into your black Ninja clothing, and strap on your sword. As you stand by the door and put on your sandals, your Uncle says, “Remember to stay in the shadows! Good Luck!”

The night is cloudy and although the path up the mountain is steep, you are making good time. Deep in a glade on your left side, you notice a glow and the sound of voices. Your interest is piqued and you decide to sneak closer. As you get closer, the voices get louder and you detect the smell of liquor along with the smell of smoke.
You peer through a bush and see that the voices belong to two rough-looking and filthy men sitting by a campfire – bandits! They’re surrounded by empty bottles of sake, and they’re laughing, singing songs, and bragging about the merchant they just robbed and killed. Their swords are off to the side of the clearing, and far out of their reach.
As you listen, you’re filled with rage – how dare such animals rob and murder honest citizens? Killing them would be doing the good people of the domain a favor – and in their drunken state, it should be quick and easy. Still, Lord Tsugu is awaiting his message, and that should be your first priority – right?
