Killer Space Monkeys

You decide on Yrpydrp – it might be unsettled, but at least you might be able to survive without a space suit. You program your choice into the computer, and the pod begins to rocket toward the desert planet.

The pod begins to shake violently as enters the planet’s atmosphere. You feel a sudden thump and realize that you must be on the planet’s surface. You open the hatch and survey the huge, unending ocean all around you. Fortunately, your survival kit provided you with a fishing line and a hook – which allows you to catch Yrpydrp’s weird local fish. They don’t taste too great, but your skill as a cook allows you to fashion them into a passable sort of sashimi. And because of your soft landing in the water, the pod’s electronics are undamaged and you’re able to transmit a distress signal.

After a couple of days bobbing on the water and eating the fish you catch, you’re finally able to get help from a passing military cruiser. After you’re safe aboard, you are thankful to have survived your first – and last – trip out of the galaxy!
