A Haunting: Pick Your Path

“You know what?”  You say, staring up at the gate.  “I’m not playing anymore.  This is just stupid.  I think you guys are just messing with me.”  You turn around and head back the way you came without a second glance.  You don’t believe that you were led mysteriously back to the same place.  You don’t believe in that sort of thing at all.  You can see that your friends were definitely trying to lead you on when you see the path split ahead of you and circle back around.  You didn’t notice before because it was partially concealed by some overgrown bushes.  A few short moments later you see the bright sun dancing on the fields, and you can even see your grandmother’s house in the distance.  All is right with the world, and there is no such thing as ghosts.
