How to Make Something Out of Nothing…
You can make some awesome, one-of-a-kind stuff without spending any
money – get creative and give your things new life by recycling
them into something new: it’s cool for you and cool for the environment!
Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Tote your stuff: Turn a bandanna, and old tank top,
or even duct tape into a beach bag and haul your towel and sunscreen
to the beach in style!
- Fancy footwear: Decoupage your sneakers or embellish
flip-flops using beads, paint, fabric and tissue paper!
- Funky jewelry: Grab anything with a hole (beads,
old hardware like nuts and bolts, macaroni, rolled paper) and some
twine or wire and get to work!
- Fashion forward: You can turn an old tee shirt into
almost anything: braided rugs, tablecloths, pillows, skirts, and anything
else you can imagine!
- Altered books: Ask your friendly local librarian
for some old books, and you can revamp them into purses, secret hiding
places, journal covers, and picture frames!
